Session 17

Session Num: 17
Stakes: 400NL
Hands: 406
Net Win: $1170

Concentration: 8/10 -
Preplay Prep: 6/10 - was really tired, but still in +EV condition
Avoiding RE: 10/10 - Made some biggish folds for me
Cbetting strategy: 10/10
Game selection: 10/10

Went $1k down pretty quick this session because of these 2 hands, one a bad beat, the other a meh river shove. Opinions welcome as always...

Hand 1: http://www.pokerhand.org/?4585510 - Flop raise could have been bigger, but I need it to look like a small bluff raise to allow him some percieved re-shove equity...

Hand 2: http://www.pokerhand.org/?4585513 -Honestly who check calls a nut type hand there? Scared of the flush, then why the fuck would you check call? He's just lucky I shoved.

Hand 3: http://www.pokerhand.org/?4585516 Call twice is I *think* correct vs this particular villain who doesn't go crazy with AK postflop, he can't expect me to fold JJ there and my hand is pretty face up.

The winners were mostly getting in nutted hands PF vs over aggro PF regs who think that 'cos they've 3bet me a few times they can suddenly profitably 5bet shove AJ. I've always felt super on top of all these preflop mind games and how people expect me to react etc, and one way in which I don't is to make the most obvious adjustment possible and make frustrated 4bets/ 5bets. May as well post the 3 biggies to prove the point, all of which came after some 3bet/ 4bet history:

Current time ten past midnight..... feel ready and confident for a decent ~60 minute session before bed. Focusing on concentration as always, avoiding RE, and being aware of villain's tendencies....
